Color and Emotion Study — The human face is the most expressive visual indicator of emotion, but for this project I wanted color to be the expressive quality of the human form, not the face. I experimented with color, brushstrokes, and form to see how those elements communicated emotion. Though the face is a powerful tool for communicating emotion, I found that color, lines, softer or sharper forms, and the position and scale of the forms are powerful communicators too.
